Qastrocam-g2 4.8 was allready able to guide using the QHY5's ST4 port, but I didn't post this small test movie.
Sirius is "moved" in the four directions using the QHY5's ST4 port and my EQ5 modification ( Add an ST4 port on the EQ4/EQ5 motor drives ) :
Have a nice night !

After my QHY5 passive cooling modification this summer, I made some noise tests at "high" ambient temperatures (about 20 celsius) :
Cooling the QHY5 imager/autoguider (step 1)
I made some more winter tests at low temperatures (about -5 celsius this night).
One minute dark frame, gain at 1 :
Histrogram :
It performs well for a CMOS !

WinRoddier is a very nice application, able to compute most of your telescope defaults with intra and extra focus pictures.

Pretty nice for a low cost achromatic refractor !

Work on Qastrocam-g2 has started.
Planned features :
- a better QHY5 support
- nexstar/synscan support
- ...
and...many bug fixs !
If you need some features on qastrocam-g2, just let me know on sourceforge ;-)

The first feature I added to qastrocam-g2 was the ability to produce text files storing all the autoguiding corrections.
To produce this file, just choose "File" as a dummy telescope. These files are formated like Iris files, and thus can be
processed with PEAS.
So have a look to my EQ5's Periodic Error (1st generation, without ballbearing).
Rather regular, isn't it ?
Best regards !

This picture from Jupiter, taken in october 2010 is a bit better. Io is there.
I forgot to remove my QHY5's bias current.

After a long long absence, finally a new post !
I previously posted a picture with the two jupiter's cloud bands. We can clearly see the two bands on this picture from july 2009 :
This new picture shows jupiter with only one band this summer.
The picture is blury because of a very bad sky, with a lot of turbulences...
