Why ?
The QHY5 LED is to bright for me, and I needed an hole in the camera's body for my peltier cooling mod.
How ?
I don't want my mod to be destructive. I used two small pins coming from an IC's DIL support, so I could plug my LED back. The distance between the LED and the PCB is 11mm. The anode is on the resistor side. I replaced the old led by an orange one, much more descreet at the same current (we don't need to change the limiting resistor).
