Some newly produced QHY5 don't have any hole behind the cmos sensor for cooling, but a solution exists ;-)

Hi, just been looking at your cooling mod for QHY5, fantastic mod but I have a couple of small questions. Did you try with copper instead of aluminium? Do you think this would make any difference?
Is the small block simply held in by pressure of the case or did you use thermal epoxy to fix it?

Sorry for being late.


The aluminium finger thermal resistance is about 0.7 C°/W. With a copper finger, the thermal


resistance is about 0.37 C°/W. We have about 0.350 W to dissipate. The sensor will be 0.12 C° cooler with the copper. Not very efficient ;-)


The finger is only held by pressure.
